What really happens after we flush, and why does it matter?
YouDon’tKnowShit (ydks.eu) is an interactive educational platform that sheds light on outdated wastewater systems and explores ways to transform them into circular, resources-oriented models.

Why does it matter?
Our current systems, from your toilet to the city sewer, aren’t equipped to meet the challenges of the future. With engaging visuals and accessible explanations, YDKS guides everyone—from curious citizens to policymakers—through smarter, more sustainable sanitation solutions.

Who’s behind it?
The platform was created by NetSan e.V., a nonprofit network of research institutes, startups, SMEs, and engaged individuals. In collaboration with RAE, VaLoo, and NetSan, and with support from the Human Progress Foundation, the platform is now available in multiple languages (German, English and French) and reaching a broader international audience.

Why are we sharing it?
YDKS is part of the growing circular sanitation movement, aligning with our mission at VaLoo to make sustainable, ecological sanitation systems understandable and actionable for everyone.
