Let’s celebrate World Toilet Day and our Finissage

 

19.11 – Finissage & World Toilet Day (exhibition space) 

On ‘World Toilet Day’, VaLoo and the ‘Films for future Festival’ invite you to the screening of the film ‘Holy Shit – Saving the world with shit’. Before the film screening, there will be a seminar on closing water cycles. Additionally, we will celebrate the finissage of the exhibition with a themed aperitif and one last opportunity to get to know pioneers from research practice and their projects during a guided tour of the exhibition.

  • 17.30 ‘Voices from the quiet little place’ – guided tour with pioneers from research and practice
  • 19.00 Opening of the cinema

Seminar ‘Closing water cycles – Practical Approaches’

Seminar for professionals in the construction and environmental sectors, as well as private individuals interested in innovative water cycle systems and their implementation. With examples from Basel to Freiburg, Paris, and other cities.

Presentations and workshops:

  • Motivation for closing water cycles and an overview of opportunities (Dr. Dorothee Spuhler, OST)
  • Circular Sanitation Systems in practice – challenges and potentials (Tom Stäubli, Cerca Design)
  • Example of a technology: Greywater treatment (Tabea Vischer, Vuna GmbH)
  • Example of a technology: Vertical greywater treatment (Helena Horber, ZHAW)
  • Case study: Implementation of closed water cycles in urban areas (Bastian Etter and Tabea Vischer, Vuna GmbH)

Workshop ‘Closing water and nutrient cycles’

As part of the exhibition, VaLoo organises workshops on request:
